Mondría — The Sound of Neo Alternative Fusion:
Gerardo Mondría Guízar is a singer, composer, and producer who blends cinematic orchestration with Latin and global musical traditions in a genre-crossing style he calls Neo Alternative Fusion. His music draws freely from orchestra, mariachi, jazz, rock, folk, big band, flamenco, salsa, and funk, creating immersive songs that unfold like scenes from a film.
A gifted tenor, Mondría combines operatic technique with the warmth and phrasing of jazz, moving fluidly between head voice, chest resonance, and softer tonal textures to express both power and intimacy.
Working from Alenda Lux Studio, he favors an analog recording philosophy centered around a Sontronics Mercury Vintage Edition microphone fitted with a rare 1950s Mullard valve.
His songs form part of an unfolding cinematic narrative—The Mondría Saga—a musical story spanning thousands of years where mythology, history, and imagination converge.
