Born on March 30, 1986 Mooga Ma$e is a hip hop artist who now lives in Newport News ,Va and is making major moves in the music industry as an independent artist with Wapp Music Records.    To know Mooga Ma$e, is to know the true epitome of overcoming circumstances that would have left most broken. By facing his circumstances head on he has found the strength to not only change his life but the lives of others.    After being shot and having a scare with death in 2016, and having to learn how to walk again, He started to change his focus to becoming a better man and started focusing more on his music career. He recently lost his aunt Sharon Barnes in 2022 to cancer that opened his eyes even more as he realized that tomorrow is not promised to anyone. He wants to make a positive contribution to this world while he’s here.    While making changes to his life and focusing on his music it allowed him the opportunity to open shows for Peedi Crack, Freeway, Naughty By Nature, Jim Jones, Maino
