Stealthracer conceals the identity of Steve T, formerly a driving instructor in the West Country, now retired and resident somewhat further north. He started on guitar although he says, "I love the instrument, but hate the noise so many people make with it." His diversification into other instruments such as bass and keyboards started many years ago and is still not complete! He has put his gigging years firmly behind him ("I hated every second of that, except the one at the very end when I got paid") and now devotes himself full-time to writing and recording his particular brand of progressive music. Note, he doesn't call it progressive rock - he doesn't even like most rock. His influences come more from classical, folk and medieval music than the few rock bands he can tolerate. His music is mostly instrumental, as he regards his lyrical abilities as 'basic' and admits he dislikes both singers and singing. Classic sounds such as Mellotron and Moog predominate.
