Under the guise of Vile Engine, art-rocker Isaac Everett crafts distinctive blend of psychedelic music, post-punk, and jazz-rock. The debut double A-side single 'The Serial Ends / Winter of Discontent' displays the breadth of Vile Engine's sound. ‘The Serial Ends’ aims at the glorification of celebrity, accompanied by the groove of a 5/4 jazz-punk riff. Inversely, ‘Winter of Discontent’ takes an insular approach, with a kaleidoscopic mediation on the fragility of the future.
