I can't remember not having music around me. It's always been close by whether on the tv or radio or buying records from shops. I just love music it creates your mood it can be your escape, a place to lose yourself when your feeling down or unhappy. It can lift your spirits and inspire you to do better things. My younger brother played in a few local bands but I was a slow starter not picking up a guitar until i was nearly 40! Now I can't put it down. I live in a small town in Kent called Broadstairs, nothing much happens here, we have a Folk Week in August which does see bands visit us from all over the country. We have a Dickens week in June celebration the famous author's life as he was once a resident of Broadstairs as was the former Prime Minster from the 1970's, Ted Heath.
