With his keyboard wizardry, mean guitar, and energetic showmanship, Tom Monks has been putting Sidcup on the map since flying out of Queen Mary's maternity ward in the mid 1990's with a Minimoog, moptop and mohair suit. As a critically acclaimed multi-instrumental singer, producer, songwriter and rock'n'roller, Monks is also unleashing whimsically infectious songs of his own, with a highly anticipated album on the way - with all songs written, played, arranged, produced, and all instruments performed (aside from a couple of guest stars) entirely on his own. When not touring the UK and Europe with bands like Nine Below Zero, The Aim, The Truth, Nova Halo and the Nathan Persad Trio, he's putting his all into South East London's local live music scene and his own creative and sonic urges - with BBC airplay, SoulTown, and The Royal Albert and Festival Halls under his belt - and recently headlining Danson Fireworks to a 23,000 strong audience.
