May is Mental Health Awareness month. Last year we released the single, "In a Land Without a Sun". This year we decided to revisit the song, remix it, and make an accompanying video. In re releasing the revamped version of this song as well as the video, we are desiring to not just offer some hope to people that are in a darkness, but we are also trying to raise money over the month to give to an organization that helps in the care of the hurting. We will be offering the song as a free download on Bandcamp, but any money that people spend on it will be donated. We are also offering a shirt and a sticker for sale on our website as well. Both Elis and I have dealt with mental health issues in our family as well as our own lives. With this song I chose to describe some of the feelings of dealing with the hopeless feeling as well as saying that there is hope. There are people out there that care about you in your struggles. Don't give up. Don't give up hope. I released my second album of traditional doom titled "Dark Ages" on Friday the 13th. This track is about people that see themselves as better than others because they have some "secret" bit of knowledge. The vocals are a split between my wife and I.
