Jay Eddy. has deep roots in the music biz. He worked in the 90s, with legendary music man Harry Finfer—founder of Jamie Records, publisher for his cousin Duane Eddy; Lamont ran Harry's Nashville Music Row office, and scouted talent, If they spotted a great act, Lamont invited them to talk publishing deals with Harry. An unforgettable story: Harry wanted to pitch some songs to RCA Records, down the street from their office. At RCA the receptionist rudely said "We don't take stuff off the street, mail it to A&R." Harry was Furious. Harry And Lamont went back to the office, Harry called Danny Glass, Xec at EMI in New York; Lamont was there as Harry chewed Danny out. Danny called RCA Nashville, and said “if you don't treat Harry right, you will be on the street pitching songs yourselves." So Harry & Lamont took three big boxes of the worst demos. Back at RCA, the receptionist held the door in fear. Harry made the RCA Xec listen to the demos for about an hour, then just walked out.
