Composer, producer and all round nutty geezer. MCMD’s music is inspired by genres such as ambient, Musique Concrete, electronic, synthpop, lo-fi and hip hop. Donned in their signature bucket hat and retro Adidas garb, there is no space for compromise here. The persona came from hanging around with an old college friend who would mock him for wearing retro Adidas tracksuit jackets. His friend fished out a bucket hat for him to try on to make him look like an old school raver and the rest is history. Little is known about this person's whereabouts or personal life. Most of the songs ditch the traditional drum beat/synthesised beats in favour of percussive samples from around the house. Inspired by Pierre Schaeffer and Pierre Henry's use of tape manipulation and tape looping. Mixed with delicate ambient synths inspired by Brian Eno and Aphex Twin.
