Camden town is a song inspired by my experiences during 2011 when I was 18 and had come out. I had joined an LGBT youth group and found people I could be myself around. We would go to a friend’s house in Camden or just go to the canal and have ciders under the British summer sun. Lisboa was inspired by my time there. While producing this song, I pictured being in old Lisbon during a summer night, walking down the cobbled streets illuminated orange by street lamps, with the sound of buskers floating through the air. Using this imagery has given the song a very nostalgic feel. However, it is still very much a future house track. The song has jazzy vocals, warm chords, and a house style drum beat, creating the embodiment of Lisboa portraying her as a romantic partner.
