Rising Son first emerged on the UK Hip-Hop scene in 1996 when it was still very much a niche genre with a small following in central London. He would do open mic events with his fellow rapper friends and peers. He wouldn't become known until 1999 when he formed the group P.G.M alongside fellow rappers '10 Faces' and 'The Phantom', and producer 'DJ Phusion'. The group made themselves well known on the underground circuit in London, with Rising spearheading the group and later introducing Doc Brown, Reveal and Tony D into the fold. The group disbanded in 2000. Rising went in pursuit of a more' 'commercial' sound as he decided to make real his dream of turning his artistic talent into an income generating career. Rising started self producing, and working with producers from the US to give him the sound he wanted, which he felt that the UK was too focused on 'sounding UK' rather than just creating good music. He didn't feel like he fit in in the almost anti-American 'UK Hip-Hop' scene

Tripolar is the second single from the forthcoming 'Deadtime' EP and features UK Legends Skinnyman & Mongo (MUD Family). Being Long time friends, this is the first time the trio have collaborated, ever, and Skinny and Mongo haven't been heard on a track together in over a decade!! The track is produced by Grammy Award Winning Sound designer/Beatmaker/ producer Tone Jonez. Enjoy, as we're sure you will 😁more

Deadtime
Deadtime = death to all that no longer serves you on your path. Death to old systems of oppression, death to old religions that have no place in todays society, Death to the Ego. But most importantly.... DEATH to the utterly wack and dumbed down version of 'Hip-Hop' that we are sold on a daily basis. The fear of being wack is back. #Deadtimemore
