At 6 years old I started buying my own music. Picking my favorite radio stations when I rode along in any car made people laugh being so young. It didn’t really matter what type of music it was, only that it caught my ear. Managed to learn to play 5 instruments growing up and into my twenties. The Run From El Paso
I was born in El Paso, raised there some years. There was always a Western kind of outlaw tint to the city. Westerns were big too. I can recall seeing some old, grizzled men.., and women for that matter. That sun bakes you into a piece of shoe leather over time. The Western desert communities always had a unique sound of music.
