Growing up with a father as a DJ, Spiderstyle had lots of exposure to music and the various ways in which it could be manipulated, which turns out was just what he needed to spark his interest in creating music. As a young teenager living in the South of The Netherlands, he spent many afternoons manipulating sounds on tapes. All this experimentation lead to an even greater hunger for audio and how songs could be changed in order to incorporate different styles and create a completely different piece of music. Spiderstyle derived his name from friends that remarked that some of his songs crossed eight different genre defining boundaries, fusing them into one. Knowing his fascination with spiders, and spiders having eight legs, the nickname Spiderstyle was born.

Kick That Bass MF
There isn't really a lot of story behind this track, other than it's a lot harder than my other work that's out there right now. I have an extremely broad taste in music, and while I tend to lean towards the harder styles when producing, the majority that was actually released wasn't that hard hitting. That's mainly because I don't plan ahead when creating music. When I start a new track it comes from within, my current mood, and it just so happened that my previously released tracks were a bit milder. But yeah, this one is quite a bit harder, and gets harder as the track progresses. Quite happy that I was able to finish this, and have it mastered correctly. Because of the contrast in styles it was a true nightmare to mix and master. I produced and mixed it, and while I normally also master myself as well, I really needed help getting this one to land the way I wanted it to. Extremely pleased I found Edwin (https://soundbetter.com/profiles/139501-edwin) who was familiar with harder styles and the challenges it brings to make it blow up your speakers without changing the actual sound. Oh, fun detail: this track was born out of a "test track" that I used to test different kicks. I loved how the beginning sounded so decided to develop it further. Hope you enjoy! And if you do, also find me on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube, etc. ;-) more

But I Remember Everything
Loss. We've all known loss. Sometimes you lose somebody for a while. Sometimes you lose somebody forever. It might seem really awkward to tell somebody close to you that you've noticed they're having a difficult time. Awkward is good. Tell them you noticed. "Hey buddy, you seem really down lately. I'm here, you know, if you want to talk. Or just go grab a beer. Or hang out and chill." is something you could say and that would totally work, even though they might not want to talk, grab a beer or hang out. It shows them somebody cares. It shows them they are noticed. It shows them they are valued. Don't leave the people you care about behind because it would feel awkward to tell them about what you're noticing. Be somebody's bridge over troubled water. Today might be the last day you could let them know they are important, even though they think they're worthless.more

In the near future an AI will use that data to become the most powerful entity known to mankind. It will even control everything that happens on the dance floor. What would happen when this AI would get infected with a virus?more
