WoldStar is the moniker used by musician Ian Holdstock to share his take on pop and rock music into the great musical ether. Influenced by the great bands of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, expect to hear tuneful melodies with memorable hooks and riffs in abundance. Big influences were the early 80s synth pop of OMD, The Human League, Ultravox and Duran Duran and the rock/pop style of Crowded House. The album “Looking At U … ?” is his first solo album. Ian has written, arranged, recorded and produced it himself. As a multi-instrumentalist, he also played all instruments and provided all vocals. With a back catalogue of albums to be released, if this is your thing, expect to hear much more from WoldStar.
