Yo, my name's Jorge and I'm an up-and-coming Puerto Rican independent singer/songwriter from Philly. The greatest reward I get from making music is the positive impact it has on listeners. I draw from my life experiences in hopes of having it resonate with others, especially those who come from similar backgrounds as me. Music has been a great source of healing for me during the darkest moments of my life. Knowing that my music can have the same effect on others and potentially lift people up from their circumstances is extremely fruitful and gratifying. I want to be the person I needed when I was younger for others who need a role model in their lives. If I can bring light to people's days in that way, then that's all I could ask for.

Where Will We Go?
This is the first song I ever released. I wrote and produced it for my Religion and Ecology final project in the Fall of 2021. The song was written through the perspective of Mother Nature witnessing the world fall apart by the hands of humankind. The making of this song was accompanied by my research on Indigenous worldviews involving land stewardship as well as the principles of "deep ecology", and how we can aid in the preservation of our planet by applying these teachings to our lives. "Where Will We Go?" poses the question, "Where will we go when we destroy our planet?" and suggests that we start making changes in the ways that we treat our planet. As the song states, "The breath of life exists in us all, and if we don't believe, then we will all fall." It is important that we view all living beings as equals worthy of protection and respect — all living things are interdependent. We must acknowledge the weight of our actions and work toward more sustainable, reciprocal, and respectful ways of interacting with the natural world.more
