Crybaby Americana since 1993, Kyle Joshua Trask is a honey voiced, brass hearted man from north-eastern coastal towns, currently nesting in East Nashville, Tennessee.  Originally falling into the pop-punk world playing alongside acts such as Man Overboard, Circa Survive, The Deer Hunter, Kevin Devine, and The Front Bottoms, Kyle has rewound to where his heart has always been. Kyle was able to sing entire songs before speaking full sentences as a child; this was thanks to his father who was a singer and his mother who was a multi instrumentalist. Today as he's inspired by the music he was introduced to growing up such as John Denver, Linda Ronstadt, Bill Withers, and Marvin Gaye (to name a few), his roots ring true through his songs about the depths of heartbreak and the grace in others. For fans of Robert Ellis, Dawes, The Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell, Drew Holcomb, Brandi Carlile, Anderson East, and the like.

Sweeter Keeper
I met my wife when I was 15. We spent most of our days together and very few apart. She's my absolute soulmate. Now that I've spent nearly half of my life with her so far at such a young age, I wouldn't change a thing. She's continuously helping me become a gentler and kinder person while I work through my depression, anxiety, and contemplations of no longer being here. However, I'm so glad to be here because I get to spend my days with her. Lyrics: Drift into a sway Feel us fall away It's heaven Let me kiss your head Sharing dreams in bed Yeah, it's winning I know the decades they hold our youth And I'm aging into spirals But spiraling with you It's a wonderful feeling You're sugar, a beautiful healing No I couldn't love any Sweeter Keeper You're just the lover For me Playing like a fool Staring into you I'm clueless Falling into me Suddenly you see How I'm in this I know we're childish like our youth So I'm hanging onto memories Forever with you It's a wonderful feeling You're sugar, a beautiful healing No I couldn't love any Sweeter Keeper You're just the lover For me Every pressure point, every single joint Every time you hold me I feel a little lighter When I can barely hear you ring through my ears Beautiful, cheer, something gets brighter It's a wonderful feeling You're sugar, a beautiful healing No I couldn't love any Sweeter Keeper You're just the lover It's a wonderful feeling You're sugar, a beautiful healing No I couldn't love any Sweeter Keeper You're just the lover for me No I couldn't love any Sweeter Keeper You're just the lover For memore

Moving On
“Moving On” was written upon realizing I no longer wanted to blame myself for a relationship. When you’re asked to give everything you have to take care of others despite holding your cane and barely standing, the burden of getting too close takes its toll when their intentions are misaligned with yours. Broken with shame and guilt, you’re left with shards of what could have been, but never will be. It’s a hard bandage to peel back, but the scar has started to fade and it needs to breathe. You know how to lie to me I sure know how to believe Everything you said to me was robed in mystery I took up arms to help you fight Then found out I was on the wrong side But your speeches moved me to battle so now I'm returning blind Somewhere down the line you've gotta change it Well, confrontation's hard when you never taste it So, I'm Moving On Why's it always have to go and be my fault again And because I'm Moving On I don't wanna think about the things I've lost again Thought we had family Until you proved it wrong to me When you left here for a week without answering anything Did you notice I pushed my cane Did you ever see behind your pain That you made up in the first place Now it's history You wanted to ride the coattails I was dragging But your grip destroyed the fabric so you can have it So, I'm Moving On Why's it always have to go and be my fault again And because I'm Moving On I don't wanna think about the things I've lost again You copy and paste the same apology you choose You never realize the words that you exchanged in the pews Used to be sacred, rid of the hatred Consider the places, dozens of faces You never cared to try to see what's wrong So, I'm Moving On Why's it always have to go and be my fault again Yeah, I'm Moving On Why's it always have to go and be my fault again And because I'm Moving On I don't wanna think about the things I've lost again You know how to lie to me I sure know how to believe Everything you said to me was robed in mysterymore

Guilty is about taking the energy of feeling guilty and being more proactive. Stand up when you see injustice, speak up when you hear someone being knocked down, go out and mobilize in your area and do something.more
