All the Discoveries Hidden Deep
To love is to see, day by day,
Not only the beauty
But also the ache
Not just the joy
But also sorrow.
In the act of loving,
There’s the act of accepting
The part hidden from beauty
The part that doesn’t shine—
To inevitably accept sorrow someday.
Love is a pact of acceptance:
To accept losses,
To gain forgiveness,
To ask for apologies,
To share the bread,
To share the floor,
To accept the “no,”
To be fascination.
Love is habit,
Touch,
Lust,
Instinct,
Fact,
Absence in days of hiatus,
The strength of a volcano,
Desire on fire,
Obstination.
Love is also tenderness.
Life passes,
Sometimes harsh—
And there,
That is love,
And gentleness.
