A multicultural and multifaceted group. Azulov was born in Montreal in the middle of the pandemic 2020. Alternative approach, they fuse the sounds of the world with rock. Rena (pronounced Lena) Yu on the violin. Originally from Japan, she moved to Montreal and met Artiom Carelov. Playing together on and off and after failed attempts they finally started the Azulov. Artiom himself originally from Moldova was brought up in a post-punk, russian rock and new wave world with bands like Kino and Splean. After getting a taste of Pearl Jam upon his arrival in Canada nothing could stop him anymore from making music. Linking up with the Grippo brothers they started practicing between curfews. Originally from Italy, the brothers Jeremy (drums) and Matthew (Bass) came from a punk, pop-punk background and ready to rock. They were not complete until the second vocalist Thalia Rosaura Chaput joined in. With a Colombian heritage she was originally Artiom’s vocal teacher. A rockstar at heart she couldn
