My name is Peter Hincks. I'm a singer, songwriter and guitarist. I've been playing guitar all my life - I can't walk past a guitar without giving it a twang. As I was growing up I was addicted to Top Of The Pops. I was also influenced by my brother’s Rock and Disco, and my parent’s / uncle’s Eagles, Bread and Beatles. I was in a band called Dry Til Friday for several years - I was the main songwriter, singer and lead guitarist. Our highpoint was winning a local band competition - mainly by playing a rocked up cover of Toxic by Britany Spears. Dry Til Friday were a Grunge/pop/indie band. After that I played in a cover band called Kickstart in Northampton for many years playing popular 60's, ska, mod & soul music amongst others. Ideas pop into my head all the time - usually whilst I’m out on my bike (triathlete). I’ve been teaching guitar for the last 10 years, so with all my experience and theory knowledge you’d think I can surely come up with a decent song - you decide..
