Roberto Maya is a Mexican artist, who's a self-taught bass player, that started at age 16, he got involved into music as he and his family managed a chain of music stores in Monterrey, Mexico named "Music & More". That's the moment where he found his passion for music, learning about different music genres, like hard rock, alternative, progressive rock, new age and grunge. His music is mainly influenced by artists like Gustavo Cerati (Soda Stereo), Sting (The Police), Rush, Yes, Def Leppard, Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), and Stone Temple Pilots, making his music a combination of progressive and alternative rock. He's part of a "musical" family, where he plays the bass and sings in his family band "The Maya Brothers", also conformed by his brother Nissim Maya (Drums and Vocals), and his 2 sons Alex Maya (Piano/Musical Production) and Aarón Maya (Guitar). He released his first song "Hoy No Es Más Que Ayer" in 2024, which he started creating since 2021.
