East Texas Country... I was born in Milwaukee and raised in a small town called Palestine, Texas. I have been writing music since I was two years old. My Paw Paw was a talented musician and one of my first memories was learning to spell my name through songs we wrote together. Being raised by a strong Black American and West Indian family help shaped me into a woman with a lot of resilience, tenacity and confidence to sing with spirit. The inspiration from my music comes from "somewhere else".
