James Henri Cook is a former professor, current psychotherapist, book author, minister, poet, world traveler, philosopher, and lifelong lover of great music. He and his wife Cindy, a songwriter and vocalist, form the core of JuniusIII, an eclectic pop-rock project built around storytelling, infectious hooks, turn-up-the-radio rhythms, atmospheric harmonies, and colorful musical imagination. JuniusIII operates with a shifting lineup, bringing in other voices and contributors as needed and as available, while James and Cindy remain at the creative center. Drawing from the rich variety of pop and rock from the 1960s through the 2000s, JuniusIII blends the ancient and the modern into memorable songs made for one purpose: an unapologetically fun musical ride with room for the serious, the silly, the intricately beautiful, the expansively airy, the darkly electronic, the bombastically orchestral, and the riff-driven rock-and-roll stomp we grew up turning way too loud.
