Growing up in the 1950s & 60s I was exposed to some of the greatest music ever recorded, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, the Everly Brothers, The Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Dylan, the list is endless.
I picked up my first guitar, strumming my first chords at the age of 12…
As kids we formed bands and duos, played solo, pretty much what most budding musicians do growing up.
I started writing songs at age 17 and continue to this day. So now, after putting dreams aside for many years to raise a family, now, as I enter the twilight of life, I continue the journey that I began at the age of 12.
Remember, “growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional”.
It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, follow your dreams and live them with passion.

A songwriter friend of mine wrote these lyrics a number of years ago for another time and another war, I set them to music. sadly they still apply today.
