I produce songs, under the artist name Phantoms Take Flight, that are mainly rooted in the music of the late 60's, 70's and 80's singer songwriter/soft rock tradition. The artist I admire most is Joni Mitchell, for her ability to combine meaningful lyrics with beautiful melodies and arrangements. Lyrics are important to me. I get most satisfaction from writing songs that have an engaging storyline, such as 'Nations And Empires'. When I've got the lyrics and basic melody line fixed, I hand the song over to musicians who are a lot more talented than me to bring it to life. Then together we make the musical magic happen!

Kiss of the Vampire Woman
This song has effectively been banned by the local radio station! Apparently the lyrics make it unsuitable for playlisting. But it contains no explicit language, and the imagery is implied rather that specified. Perhaps they didn't get the intended humour at the end...I was going for an "I'm Batman" vibe!more
