My name is Sacha Hoedemaker, and I am a Dutch composer. Over the last decade I’ve worked so hard on numerous projects: I wrote compositions for commercials, theater shows, and many artists. However, whenever I created something, it was somebody else’s vision, someone else’s story. I felt like I was missing out on my own stories. It was time for that change. During the pandemic of 2020, I started posting videos of myself improvising, as an outlet. There was no more work. I felt that I needed to put myself out there. I figured, “why don’t I ever tell my story? Create music from my own experiences in life?” I always say and teach, “You are able to work on anything you want. Whatever happens, happens. The important thing is that you follow your gut.” I decided to go for it. It still feels a bit unreal to me, but I am so proud to officially announce my first song: Meditation.
