TJ Welch and the wasted formed in Boston in 2023 by Welch Boys guitarist TJ Welch. He was seeking to do a side project that was different from the punk sound of his band. He recruited talented drummer Eric Bowman, and they wrote a bunch of songs together. After that, they found the amazing bass player Mike Lucantonio ( formerly of Gang Green and Temporary Insanity ) ,.. and then , TJ convinced his oldest son Owen to play rhythm guitar. The band has developed a style of their own, a mixture of punk and catchy rock and roll. TJ refers to it as " Dad Rock" They are hard at work playing shows and putting out their first studio recordings. They are excited to be accepted in the vibrant Boston music scene, and they are looking forward to world domination.
