Hello folks This is a brand new song. I wrote this story in the form of a poem that became the lyrics. Yes the part of the lyrics are my personal experince specially the part of survival. It's about to be in destination A and you dream of getting to B. After visualising the story the chord progression and the melody for the verses came quickly. I got a little stuck with other part so as I always do I give it a rest for a while. And (as usual) the rest simply came to me. New Sunday is mainly a studio band. I write the music and the lyrics and do an initial arrangement. Create an instrumental audio file for Lizzie our vocalist. Then my dear producer Simon always does some magig in the arrangement and the final mixing and mastering. He also adds instruments if needed. The three of us are in constant communication through the process and we wote for the final version. The song alanlysis It is in the key of G major. 4/4 time signature and 103 BPM. The main chords are E minor, G major, C major and A minor. It was tempting to write the pre chorus and the chorus with different chords but I didn' have to. Em-G-C-Am are powerful chord progression. Hello folks The sound of this track is not a typical NS sound. I wrote this song and the poem years ago. It was starting to haunt me to I had to release it. I´m very fond of the poem writing with metaphor and double meanings in the words for people to intepret as they wish. If I recall it correctly this line About A Girl stuck in my mind so I ended up writing that poem. Maybe I was thinking about the Nirvana song with the same name. Song analysis. I made the demo few years ago. We decided to give it's own life influenced by 1960´s style of music. The process was the same. Lizzy sung it perfectly. I can´t believe how she managed to create the right mood with her vocals. And Simon Jones did the last magic as the producer. The song is in the key of D major or B minor. The main chord progression is B minor, F# minor, G major and A major. 4/4 time signature and BPM around 100 BPM Detail analysis: The song has an emotional impact that is both upbeat and nostalgic. Hello I wrote this track few months ago. For about a year I believe I found what kind of music I wanna write. This one is the best example of that but still ok. What I like is a blend of various genres. With indie folk-rock at the top. My lyrics are usually a story so I try to write the music to tell the story in the mood it is. I like to blend 60´s style into the music and I think I have found my own uniqe sound. As usual the songwriting process is a catch a ball between me and my vocalist. I always create an instrumental demo for the vocalist. After the producer got the sutt then begins another catch a ball between 3 of us. Sometimes it workds smoothly. Sometimes not like in this song. I went into the rabbit hole to micromanage little things that in the end don´t matter. As usual my vocalist and my producer did a fantastic job. The producer always gets instrumentalist if needed. He also uses my demo file. I really like how we did catch the mood of the song. You can say I´ve been trying to learn to use as few chords as possible. I tend to use chords when writing the melody. The song can be too compliated. This time the song is only 4 chords in the key of C major. It works just by rearranging the chords for each part and increase or decrease the tempo. Well I hope you like this track. I do have plenty in my pocket. Just wait. Song analysis As usual I wrote the lyric first I can't exactly remember when I wrote the lyrics. It caught my eyes and while writing the song I re-wrote the lyrics. A songwriting style I like a lot. Finding chord progression and melody to fit the words. I have said this before. Less is more. The whole song is only 4 chords. It´'s in the key of C major with the chords. A minor, C major, G major and D minor. I ususally have the chorus a half note or a note higher. That would mean the chorus can be B minor, D major, A major and E minor or major. On purpose I'm using steady drumbeats and eight note guitar strumming. The song is around 170 BPM so the guitar strumming is fast. Detail analysis This song has an energetic soundscape with prominent guitar solos and drum beats that create tension throughout the track.
