BIO- Jay Gunzz AKA Phoenix AKA Jay Harbin. Jay is from the DMV area and began writing songs in high school around 1994. His first recording of original work was another rapper in a group called Gemini, which was featured on 95.5 WPGC local radio for multiple weeks. Jay later founded a 6 man rap group called Planet SB that recorded 3 full albums and opened for national headliners (Redman n Method Man, Ghostface, Dead Prez, Beetnutz, Sean Price, and many more) for about 10 years. Jay broke off and went solo in 2008 and released his first solo album entitled Scams N Schemes in 2009 with the help of friend and master producer Jeff Thompson and his best friend and dopest emcee ever, Stephen Pagi. Jay subsequently recorded and released 2 more full length albums and 2 new singles. Jay Gunzz is a two time cancer survivor that has been held at gunpoint several times and escaped death repeatedly. This music is high energy and positive design to give hope and energy and power to those in need.
