Tyson Manning was born on June 3, 1983 in a small town called Marshall, Texas. His motto, “Tough times do not last long, but tough people do!” Tyson remembers playing the drums around eight or nine years old. Times were simpler then but, times were hard. He knew at an early age he was destined for greatness but, he would face life’s challenges along the way. Gang life, alcohol and drugs played an intricate part in his young life. Soon it would become his turning point.
Growing up fast and learning the ways of the streets at the tender age of sixteen landed him in the penitentiary. Connally Unit, in Kennedy, Texas became his home. He was raised there, doing a bid for eight consecutive years! It felt like a lifetime! In some ways it made him a better man, to others, less exceptional. “You live and you learn.”
