The song was born after I read a Facebook post written by Pierre’s partner, someone I’m close to, as Pierre and he were both friends of mine, and the way he spoke about grief and love stayed with me. I took the emotional core of his words and shaped it through my own perspective, rewriting and adding lines to form a complete song. In the end, it became a quiet tribute, not only to loss, but to the kind of love that leaves a mark and doesn’t disappear.more
